We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Camillette. It is a beautiful house with many amenities. What we really appreciated were the various seating areas outside, allowing you to move with the sun and wind throughout the day. We did a lot of reading and completely relaxed. The last 400 meters to the house are also absolutely wonderful—an old and very characteristic hollow road. We enjoyed the blackberries that grow there and also the peaches from the garden of La Camillette. This house is in our top 3 of holiday homes in France that we have visited over the years!
Very tranquil beautiful surroundings with stunning nature!
Very spacious and well-equipped holiday home with many options, indoors with an extensive relaxation area for young and old, and outdoors in a beautiful setting.
Located in a fantastic spot, with many walking paths possible around the house.
A lovely, well-maintained house equipped with all conveniences. Quietly located at the end of a small road. Very friendly and welcoming owners. The house has a fantastic garden, stunning views, and a large covered terrace. The garden features numerous seating areas, allowing you to sit in the sun or shade at any time of the day. The garden is not fenced but is large enough that smaller children cannot wander off. In the immediate vicinity, you can go for walks, and there are plenty of options for day trips by car.

Beautiful house! Cosy, atmospheric, inviting, with high-standard amenities. Such as a spacious kitchen equipped with all conveniences. And a luxurious, extensive play and sports area. Outside, there is a fantastic-covered terrace!

Jacques, Isabelle, you are wonderful hosts and so generous! Your house is exquisitely decorated, fully equipped, and the garden is simply beautiful and truly relaxing. Your hospitality in every detail (impeccable bedding, cleanliness, discretion…) allowed us to experience a true moment of rest in this colorful countryside. You were attentive to ensure we could also discover the region and all its possibilities (touristic, recreational, historical). A delightful experience to indulge in without moderation! Whether as a couple, with friends, or family, pleasure is guaranteed!

A dream house! Beautifully renovated with authentic techniques, extremely tastefully decorated, and equipped with all conveniences. The garden is a paradise with many seating areas, fruit trees, and daily deer visiting the garden. Exceptionally quiet and serene. The welcome was extremely warm and friendly! We will definitely return!
Beautifully situated house in the middle of nature. Hares, deer, and more come right into the garden.
Beautifully restored with all modern comforts. The playroom with pool table, table tennis, foosball, and Xbox was appreciated by both young and old. There are terraces around the house so that there is always sun or shade, depending on your preferences. Cozy and practical decor, and everything is neat and hygienic. Ideal for those who love peace and nature. There are several lakes nearby where you can enjoy swimming. Le Mans is a 40-minute drive away and is an absolute must for a day trip.

For the 6th time in La Camillette! We are hooked on the beautiful house with its lovely garden.
For the 6th time in La Camillette! We are hooked on the beautiful house with its lovely garden. We cherish the peace we find there and the reunion with the owners, with whom we now share a warm friendship. Our whole family looks forward to a trip to La Camillette, and each time it’s wonderful to spot the hares, foxes, and deer early in the morning or in the evening from one of the terraces. And every time there are new excursions to cities and museums. All seasons are beautiful: autumn with chestnuts and walnuts, spring with blossoms, summer with swimming in the lake of Tuffé. The house is tastefully rustic with all the comforts of modern times, and it’s cool in the summer and wonderfully warm thanks to the fireplace and heating during the rest of the year. Plus, there is a piano.
In short, we are already looking forward to the next time!

Very quiet agricultural surroundings. There is already plenty to experience around the house: the various fruit trees, rabbits, and birds create a perfect holiday environment. The house offers a lot of space. With all the different spots and seating areas, it never gets boring. There is plenty to do for both adults (pool table and fitness room) and small children (lots of toys, books, and DVDs both inside and outside). In the garden, it is lovely to relax in the many seating areas with a beautiful view. And there is a lot of privacy, with no other houses nearby and only fields adjacent to the house.

We had a wonderful time. We were warmly welcomed by the owners of the cottage, and the coordination went smoothly. The house itself was spacious, and the surrounding garden was even larger. Perfect for playing football, badminton, and similar activities. Inside, there was also plenty to do with the pool table, ping pong table, and even an Xbox for enthusiasts. But above all, relaxing was easy with the various terraces and seating areas around the house. Highly recommended!

We particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet. The house is situated on a hill with stunning views of the surrounding area. It has a large garden with well-maintained grass and various types of trees (fruit, nuts, chestnuts, etc.). In the garden, there are plenty of garden furniture and a hammock to use. The house (an old farmhouse) is well-maintained and tastefully decorated, combining modern amenities with respect for its authenticity. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The bathroom is on the small side, but the other rooms are spacious. Thanks to the thick walls, the temperature in the house remained relatively cool while it was getting hot outside.
We made extensive use of the available options for relaxation and sports (fitness equipment, pool table, table tennis, foosball, Xbox, and games). The Wi-Fi in and around the house was excellent. The owners, Jacques and Isabelle, are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. On the day of our arrival, they were there with their children Camille and Juliette; they welcomed us and explained everything about the house and its furnishings. There was also a delicious bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge. On the last day, they were there to say goodbye and to check in on our stay.
Highly recommended. We had a fantastic holiday.

We have had a beautiful holiday in La Camillette
The nature lent itself to beautiful walks in the immediate surroundings. The beauty of the old town centre in Le Mans was also a complete surprise. The peace we found in this house is invaluable! It was certainly no punishment to stay indoors during less favourable weather; all comforts and entertainment were available.

Delightful spots, both inside and outside, to enjoy. Great for walking or driving to visit/view the beautiful villages.

It was a lovely holiday to relax thoroughly
We had a wonderful week at La Camillette; the house is beautiful and has everything you need. The children really enjoyed playing ping pong, foosball, and especially running on the treadmill in the fitness room—they even started before breakfast!
We took nice walks in the area, fed the donkeys that were a 5-minute walk away, and visited the beautiful cathedral of Chartres, among other things.
It was a lovely holiday to relax thoroughly. Warm regards.

If you want to enjoy a pleasant stay filled with tranquillity, greenery, and in a very lovely house decorated with great taste and authenticity, then look no further—this place is La Camillette. The garden is ideal for children with a multitude of toys and also for adults with loungers and a hammock, along with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
The owners, along with their two daughters, make you feel at ease immediately and are extremely kind.

We had a wonderful time in your courtyard in the middle of nature!
Your house is lovingly restored and very well equipped – you can tell that you enjoy living there yourselves!
The old walls made the house a cool retreat during the summer heat.There was plenty of space inside and outside, and we really had it all to ourselves!
The children had so much to discover every day – the playhouse, a swallow’s nest in the barn, or one of the huge meadows…We had many favourite spots: the dining table by the edge of the field, the garden loungers and the hammock at noon, the armchair under the large chestnut tree at sunset, or the amazing starry sky in the seating area of the barn.

Beautiful location, driving up a forest path to find a house on a hill surrounded by lovely trees, grass, grain, and sunflowers!

We had a wonderful time. The house is very secluded, which makes it wonderfully quiet. This provided a nice contrast to the week before when we stayed at a holiday park. The house was tastefully decorated and equipped with all conveniences. The kitchen, in particular, was well-equipped, making it enjoyable to cook (Le Creuset pots and a good knife set). Despite the very high temperatures (heatwave up to 36 degrees Celsius), it was pleasant to be in and around the house. Our 3-year-old son had a great time playing with toys inside and outside. The area is not very well known but definitely worth recommending, such as Le Mans, La Ferté Bernard, and Bellême (during the market).
In short, it was all very nice. We had a lovely holiday.

What a wonderful authentic place to relax, away from all the hustle and bustle, with a lovely veranda to eat, drink, read, or simply do nothing in the evenings and mornings. You have created a fantastic spot with a great sense of style and preservation of charm. Thank you very much.
You come here for nature and tranquillity
You reach the holiday home via a hollow road and, in the summer, through a field of sunflowers. What a wonderfully located holiday house. In the evenings, you can spot deer from the covered east terrace. We ourselves saw a fox and numerous birds of prey. There is a 10 km walking route that runs alongside the house, taking you through the entire area. It is certainly not a busy route; we only saw one group of hikers pass by. The owner provides a walking booklet with various hikes throughout the region. The routes are relatively well-marked. The area is gently rolling, dotted with small villages and towns, and not very touristy. You come here for nature and tranquillity. If you want some culture, you need to go to Le Mans (about 45 minutes) or the châteaux along the Loire (about 2 hours).
We had a fantastic week
It is a very complete house, tastefully and atmospherically decorated. And not only the house but also the available items to keep you active (table tennis, foosball, and all those other devices to keep your body moving).
The beds were amazing. The kitchen was more than complete.
We have been renting houses in France for at least 15 years, but this house surpasses all the other beautiful houses. Where else do you find a tuned piano? Just to give an example of the attention the owners pay to the comfort of their guests. We had a fantastic week.

We would like to thank you once again for the wonderful week at La Camillette. What a charming house and what a lovely garden. It is clear that you have renovated and decorated it with a lot of love and attention, all in style. We strongly feel that even the toilet paper holders were thoughtfully considered before finding their place in the house.
It was especially nice that you welcomed us personally and that we enjoyed a lovely lunch together (guinea fowl!). There was plenty for the children to do and play, and there are abundant spots around the house where one can sit in a lounge chair with a pastis in hand and gaze into the distance for hours.
We were not familiar with le Perche because we, like many Dutch people, are used to driving south as quickly as possible, but this area certainly makes us want to explore more. A beautiful, quiet, and authentic region where life is good. We took a day trip to Paris (by train), and Le Mans was indeed a pleasant surprise. The weather was also great, so in short, it was a week we will remember fondly for a long time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay with you. A warm welcome made us feel at home right away after a day of driving, allowing us to relax. Our children also felt comfortable immediately and had a great time playing with your daughters at the ping pong table and with the foosball. We enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner that was lovingly prepared and served.
The house is beautifully renovated and is situated in a very idyllic location. We have never slept in such an oasis of tranquillity before.
The breakfast was well taken care of and very enjoyable. It was so pleasant that we found it hard to continue our journey. A place to remember, and as we read the other reviews, we will need to book in advance next time! You can be proud of the results of your efforts. À bientôt!

We watched the stars almost every evening
A beautiful house in a stunning location. Delightfully quiet. The house is equipped with all conveniences, complete and charming. There is even a large area with a pool table and fitness equipment. The large veranda (facing east) is absolutely fantastic. We watched the stars almost every evening. Because it is quite dark at night, you can see many more stars.
You can take a lovely walk around the village of Nogent-le-Bernard, which is highly recommended. There are also nice towns and villages to explore in the area. Be sure to visit Le Mans: the old town with its cathedral is very beautiful.
We had a wonderful vacation with our children aged 12, 14, and 15. But there is also plenty to do for younger children, as there is a play structure and a playhouse in the garden.
If you are looking for peace and space in a house that has all the comforts, then this is highly recommended! The owners speak Dutch and are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Amazing views from all sides and what a silence!
A charming house, fully furnished, in a beautiful location. Amazing views from all sides and what a silence! From the house, you can walk and bike. But we also spent hours just sitting outside the house reading and enjoying the peace. A wonderful place to return to! The welcome was particularly warm; in short, an ideal spot to relax and unwind.
A great place for young and old
The ambition to unwind for two weeks at La Camillette has more than succeeded. The location is beautiful and secluded, yet not far from a great butcher, a bakery, and all other French delights. We had all sorts of plans for the area but hardly ventured beyond the very spacious garden, the new terrace in the barn, and the kitchen.
The house is equipped with all conveniences, and even our young daughters (1 and 3 years old) were able to have a great time in the garden and with everything available (especially the gravel, of course). So it’s a great place for young and old, and definitely worth returning to. Perhaps next time we will get around to all those other attractions.
That peace! That view!
We have already spent a wonderful week at La Camillette several times. It is such a lovely place that we want to return every time. The house is incredibly spacious yet very cosy. The beds are super comfortable, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly want (espresso machine! dishwasher!). And outside, it’s absolutely delightful. That peace! That view! The large garden with all its fruit trees, seating areas, and the swing for the children.
Yes, this house has quickly become one of our favourite holiday destinations.

La Camillette is a perfect place to unwind.
The house on the hill offers breathtaking views of the surrounding rolling landscape of Le Perche from all sides.
The gîte has been expertly restored in its original style and decorated with great taste. It is equipped with all conveniences, including a beautiful indoor sports and play facility for both adults and children. There is also plenty of safe play space outside.
In the nearby area, you can visit picturesque villages and towns. Le Mans is just 40 minutes away and has a particularly beautiful historic town center.It leaves you wanting more!

What a serene place, on the hill, away from everything, beautifully decorated, equipped with all conveniences.
This place inspires and relaxes. Beautiful, interesting villages and towns within a short distance. We could seek out the hustle and bustle; the peace was our gift.There is plenty of space for the children to let their imagination run wild.

A little piece of paradise in the countryside, quiet and safe for children, making it very relaxing for parents! The house is spacious, decorated with great taste, … a true pleasure to wander around. We will recommend this rental and we will return!!

Space, sun, light, silence, views, blackberries, raspberries, peaches, sunflowers, cyclamen—these are the things we enjoyed outside. Fantastic. We found the house and the barn romantic and beautifully decorated. In short: what a place. Of course, we also explored the surroundings. In Le Mans, we visited the 24-hour race museum, which is truly a recommendation. And Isabelle, you mentioned that the old town of Le Mans was so beautiful. We wandered around the streets and squares with all kinds of old houses; it feels like you could film a period drama there. And from time to time, we will still think of the delicious products from the patisserie in La Ferté Bernard.

We had a great stay here; everything is there: the calm and tranquillity, the beauty of the landscapes, the originality of the place, both rustic and modern, the layout, the space—In short, it was fantastic!
The pool table, ping pong table, and gym were particularly appreciated, and especially the large garden with plenty of space to run and play.
It’s truly an ideal place to recharge with family, a beautiful region, a charming little village, away from the stress and noise of the city. Clearly, we will return!
